2009-10 Hockey Season About to Begin

The upcoming hockey year is starting to take shape. The novice team has 4 tournaments that they will attend this upcoming season. 1st tournament will be the West Lorne, Black & Gold. We have already sent the money in to register and we have the rooms booked at the Best Western Lamplighter Inn. I know this tournament will be a good test for our young athletes but I am sure that we will have fun. We will use the hotel for off ice training to get know each other and build some team chemistry.
The other tournaments that we will attend this year are the annual "Silver Stick" at home in which Jay Dunlop does a fantastic job at running. Once again we will make a guest appearance at the Dorchester Dragons tournament in which we will see some very competitive teams and last but not least we will return to Listowel for a very well organized and fun tourney.
I am very much enthusiastic about the upcoming year and want to do my best to communicate. I want to inform the parents that in order for our team to succeed we will need countless hours of volunteers. I will be looking for team officials (asst coach, trainer's and manager) to support me behind the bench. If you would be interested in performing one of these roles please keep in mine that in order to be behind the bench you will need to be carded with the OMHA.
In order to play on a representative team there will be some extra cost involved to cover off the tournaments and extra team activities.
