Kincardine Battle Tiverton

Picking up from the last game on Friday night a rematch between Kincardine and Tiverton ensued. With a look for equalizing the play off home and home stand series in the eyes of the Kincardine team they took the ice. Once play began it was end to end action with skilled passes by all forwards, unbelievable defensive stops with break out passes and great saves by the Kincardine goalie.
The first period was full of action; the line up that coach Dave put on the ice for Kincardine equaled the efforts of Tiverton step for step, play by play. They end of the first period ended at 0-0.
As the second period moved along and the play of Kincardine picking up fast and furious they had many good chances to score the first goal, but unfortunately it was Tiverton who got on the board first. The second period came to an end with Tiverton in the lead 1-0.
As the third period began Kincardine came out firing on all cylinders. Shots were being fired at the Tiverton goalie from all angles but none would go in. With 5:49 remaining in the third period, Tiverton scored their second goal. It would have been easy for the Kincardine team to give up and admit defeat but they held their heads high and put a up a great battle till the final horn to end the game.
In all, although though the Kincardine team lost the game, there is a new level of respect from the Tiverton team that Kincardine is not a team to be taken lightly any more.
