Game Against Owen Sound
On Dec 19th Kincardine's Sobeys Pee Wee girls played Owen Sound at home.
With ten girls away Kincardine had lots of ice time and there was worry the girls might not stand up to Owen Sound due to exhaustion. They proved us wrong. In the first our defence showed Owen Sound they could not get through to our goalie, Jordy Surridge and Billie Patterson kept the Owen Sound offence at bay, with only a few shots on Sophia Tomaini, which she saved with speed, and accuracy. At the other end Rainor Kuz, and Tori Hodgins got a few shots on Owen Sounds net, but none landed. Jordy Surridge took one up near the end of the first and passed it off to Korrine Mangotich who slammed one in making it 1-0 for Kincardine.
In the second period Christen Bell and Georgia Fields had a couple hard shots on Owen Sounds net to no prevail. Alice Thorpe and Madisom McBride were kept busy with the Owen Sounds big offence, but nothing went through Sophia's pipes leaving the second period with no goals.
In the third Madison McBride kept the puck in O/S's end, where Georgia Fields grabbed it and shot a hard one at their goalie. The goalie appeared to save it but the puck bounced off her glove and flew over her head landing another goal for Kincardine, making the final score 2-0 for Kincardine, and a shut out for Kincardine's Sophia Tomaini!!!!
