If You Can't Beat Um... Bump Um
This years Bantam Rep Girls began the year chasing gold and their goal for the year.... a Provincial Gold Medal. Together they work hard on and off the ice to attain their goals. They buy extra ice time for powerskating before school and attend dryland training twice to three times a week. For this they have been rewarded with much success in the B division. The message here is hard work equals results or in the eyes of some teams that will remain nameless you need to go play somewhere else because your too good. Kincardines newly classified Bantam BB Rep would not be denied their gold as they took Guelph Tourney by storm this past weekend as they claimed the Gold medal in the 12th annual Guelph Thunderstorm tournament dominating the BB division going 5-0.
The girls fought hard to win every game demonstrated excellent team play the entire weekend. Baker was a star between the pipes with only 2 goals scored against her. The forwards fought hard to keep the puck busy in the opposing teams's zone supporting Duncan, Colhoun, Krulicki, Bowes, Boyd, Allen, Jolley, and Satosek as they scored for Kincardine. The defense ensured the victories by only letting by a handful of shots on net. Congratulations girls for a job well done and presenting coach Baker with a golden birthday gift.
