Montogmery Ford Bantam Girls Thrill Fans as the girls battle hard against Walkerton in league games and Saugeen Shores Bantam C Storm in exhibition play.

On Nov 11, a determined Walkerton Capitals Girls team roared into town only to be met by the
Montgomery Ford Bantam Girls HL team. The 1st period was filled with fast paced, end to end
excitement only to finish with a 0-0 score. 6½ minutes into the second period, Kasey Brindley
finally put Kincardine on the score clock , assisted by. Megan Stewart-Kemp added another to
the score with 3 mins left in the period. Walkerton did manage a goal in the dying minutes of
the period. Both teams came out flying in the 3rd with more end to end action with both goalies
standing tall to keep their teams in the game. In the end the “Build Ford Tough” Kincardine
Bantam Girls prevailed to keep the score 2-1. It was a thrill packed game for coaches, parents
and fans alike!!

On November 13th Montgomery Ford Bantam Girls HL team squared off against the Saugeen
Shore Storm “C” Team in an exhibition game. The atmosphere was intense as the girls squared
off. Even in a 4-0 defeat the Montgomery Ford Bantam Girls HL worked hard and showed
both poise and determination.

The girls took to the ice again to face the Walkerton Capitals – this time on the road. The
intensity of play between these two teams has steadily been increasing and the crowd was treated
to some fine hockey. There was some nail biting as Walkerton took a convincing 2-0 lead by
the end of the first period with both goals coming from Emalee Haight. It was looking a little
grim with Walkerton dominating the play. At the start of the second period the Kincardine squad
looked invigorated but no one could find the twine until at 8:45 Megan Stewart-Kemp finally
unleashed one with help from Rachel Whitney. The crowd waited for the next one which came
on a low trajectory missile from Tara Wood assisted by Megan Stewart-Kemp. This was the
end of the scoring for the game but it was hard fought and a well deserved tie.
