Return to Hockey Programming Update
Submitted By KMHA on Sunday, January 24, 2021
Fellow Kinucks,

After consultation with the Municipality of Kincardine and the Grey Bruce Public Health Unit, KMHA as decided to return to the ice for a limited time once the current provincial lockdown restrictions end on the 19FEB2021. Although the duration of phase 3 will be shorter than originally hoped, the emphasis will be on player engagement and the enhancement of both mental and physical health of our members during these strange times. If there are no additional extended conditions imposed in our area then programming will commence on the 20FEB and run until the 31MAR. On the OMHA side we are exploring the option to continue to engage in some game play with Huron Bruce MHA pending OMHA approval in some age and bubble groupings. For OWHA, should registration numbers remain the same, teams will be divided to hopefully have 3-4 teams per division playing in house games only (inter-mural style)

Should any of our members wish to withdraw completely from Phase 3 then please fill out our online refund application on our website prior to 05FEB2021 for full phase 3 reimbursement to allow KMHA to make any changes necessary. Those who choose to continue with phase 3 programming will be issued a refund automatically of approx. 50% of the total phase 3 registration cost no later than 01JUN2021. Members are not required to fill out the refund application if you are continuing on with the remainder of phase 3.
KMHA continues to ensure we are in line with all rules, regulations and guidelines as set out by the Municipality, the Grey Bruce PHU as well as all our governing sports bodies to ensure the safety of our members is our top priority. With the emphasis on fun physical activity, we hope to engage all our members and look forward to the successful return to hockey for the remainder of the 2020-2021 season.
