Canadian Tire Atoms win 3-1 against Goderich
Written by Tracy Primeau

The first playoff game in the WOAA round robin was an entertaining game for the fans of both teams.  The first period started with great defense by Kincardine’s Ben Netzke and Rhys Vollmer and a goal by Ethan Long assisted by Netzke putting Kincardine up 1-0 at the end of the first.  In the second period Long scored again assisted by Bradley Pickett and Raven Sharp.  Brett Burrows and Jakob Dunlop had a great rush on the Goderich net but were unable to get one past the goalie.  The third goal was also scored in the second period this time on the rebound by Netzke from Long and Pickett.  Danny Skinner and Craig Luinstra had some great passing in the period but were unable to score and Ethan Primeau was helped out in goal by Gavin Reardon maintaining the 3-0 lead.  Unfortunately Goderich got one through the five hole on Primeau in the third.  Brett Colhoun came pretty close to getting one in in the third but the scored remained 3-1 for Kincardine.  Lots of shots on goal by both teams shows how well both the forwards and defence were playing.  Keep it up boys!
