Way to go Team
The Kincardine Peewee Boys LL team travelled to Walkerton short on players but long on determination.

With only eight skaters, a strong start was needed and delivered as Corey Howse picked up a pass from Jared Allingham to score on the first shift of the game.  Goalie Joey Doyle made a number of difficult saves to hold the slim lead. Kincardine carried the play but was unable to up the score until late in the second period when Owen Hunsburger scored from high in the slot, with assists going to Nikhil Deshpande and Howse.  The 2-0 Kincardine lead remained intact to the much needed second period intermission.  Kincardine withstood a push by Walkerton early in the third but regained the momentum when Brendan Murchie sent Andrew Leschied in alone on the Walkerton goalie.  Leschied fired a shot into the top corner to up the lead to 3-0.  Minutes later, Kincardine put the game away as Deshpande scored with assists going to Matthew Strader and Virat Tripathi.  Doyle stoned the opposition to record the shutout and 4-0 Kincardine win.  Coach Wolfe awarded the game’s first star to the entire team for an inspired effort.
