PeeWee girls Rule Brantford Tournament
The Kincardine Sobeys PeeWee Kinuck Girls took Brantford by storm this past weekend participating in the Walter Gretzky annual event. The girls were placed in a BB division above their supposedly B level qualifications. This team brought pride to all their parents and coaching staff with the intensity and play worthy of AAA hockey. First game action saw the girls up against a worthy Etobicoke opponent. They were caught off guard assuming an easy ride against a lowly B level team. Kincardine scored twice in the first period and rode that lead to the end of the game. Goals by Cassidy Colhoun from Victoria Krulicki and Krulicki from Colhoun. Strong support from the defensive core of Dakota Smith, Laura Mangotich, Nicole McLeod, Lauren Jolley and Maddie Duncan. Score of 2-1 on the board. Second in line for the Kincardine mighty were Stoney Creek. Once again this team was caught like a deer in the headlights as the Kinucks ruled the play. Shutout notched by Morgan Baker. Final score 2-0. Third game action the Kinucks were pitted against the home team Brantford side. Colhoun was able to put one in the net from Satosek to bring the crowd to its feet. As previously stated these girls played to a level far above anyone in this tournament. The play shifted as Stoney Creek were able to slide one in on the off angle to
