Bantams take over the Capital(s)
Article written by Ron Sayle
The opening handshake was the only friendly contact the TIM-BR MART Bantams would have with the visiting Walkerton capitals. From the opening faceoff it was a gruelling battle with the Kincardine bantams emerging as the eventual champion.

The initial frame was a sparing match with neither team having strong chances due to the focus on defence by both sides. The second period saw Dylan Sayle break the goose egg with a snapper from the hash marks unassisted. This appeared to stun the capitals net minder as the gates opened to goals by Cody Bowes and Garret Satosek with helpers going to Sayle , Fohkens and Hunsberger and Hewitt. Sam Gurbin got into the act with a graceful coast to coast rush that resulted in a wrister that made beautiful music as it rang off the iron. Sayle sealed the deal with two more to complete the trick with helpers going to Jory Norman, Mathew Baker, Tom Elliott and David McFarlan.  Paul Boyadjian kept the cage door closed for the most part only allowing 2, which came while the Kincardine penalty box was crowded with black shirts. Final score 6 to 2 in favour of Kincardine.
