Three More Wins

Three more wins were added to the Kincardine West Shore Bantam Girls’ record in recent games, bringing their season summary to 12 wins and 3 losses so far. 



Traveling to Markdale on December 13, the Kinucks took home a 5-0 win with goals scored by Morgan Padfield (2), Hayley Stewart, Courtney Surridge and Rebecca McLeod.  Assists were earned by Stewart, Erica Gade (2), Madison McFadden, Marcy Wigle, Padfield, Kristy Parsons, Kristen Derksen and Dani Watterworth.  Kortney Watson earned her 5th shutout of the season. 

 

Kincardine hosted Tiverton on December 11, winning 4-1.  Dayle Smith netted the first goal of the game and her first goal of the season midway through the second period.  Kincardine’s next two goals were scored by Stewart, and Gade finished off the count.  Helpers went to Stewart, Emily Elphick, Murchie (2) and Padfield (2).

 

In a high scoring game on December 2nd, the West Shore Girls overpowered Wiarton 9-1.  Courtney Surridge had two goals in the first period, both assisted by McFadden and Wigle.  The second period saw the Kinucks light up the scoreboard six times with goals by Watterworth, Murchie, Elphick, Derksen, Gade and Stewart.  These scorers were assisted by Smith, McLeod (2), McFadden, Parsons, Padfield, Derksen (2), Gade and Murchie.  Wigle got the final tally of the night with support from Padfield and Murchie.  Netminder Morgan Baker’s shutout was spoiled by Wiarton’s lone goal in the second period.
