The Kincardine Bantam Local League Team has started their Playoffs series and the Old Stars are off on the right skate!  On Saturday the boys played Listowel on Tiverton Ice. Kincardine opened up the scoring right from the opening whistle when Jordan Bell handed the puck to Logan Shewfelt who knocked it into the net. Listowel answered the call.  Kincardine then went ahead when the Marcel Fohkens sank one deep into the net with the assistance of Jesse Hall and Jordan Bell.  Listowel tied it up 2 minutes later and then scored the go ahead goal.  Undaunted, Shewfelt set up Brendan McCartney for a nice one and then with 37 seconds left on the clock, Captain Jason McDonell and Fohkens set up Hall to close out the period.  Listowel put the time keeper to work early in the second periods with 2 quick goals then it was Kincardine all the way to the finish!  Bell smacked one between the pipes with assists credited to Ryan Ball and Fohkens.  Hall then light up the scoreboard with assists by Shewfelt and Fohkens and 26 seconds later this line up scored again with Shewfelt getting the goal. Liddle and Small between the pipes.  7-5 Kincardine.

Valentines Day and we're at the Tiverton arena playing the very strong Tiverton Team. These teams are evenly matched and the game can always go any way.   Kincardine opened up the scoring in the second period with Fohkens setting up Hall for a beauty goal.  Tiverton answered the call with a nice goal from Craig Alexander set up by a very able Noah Van Veen.  Just as the parents were starting to get anxious about tie breaker rules, Fohkens scored ably assisted by McDonell and Fair.  Small played and exceptional game on net. 2-1 Kincardine.
