Snow, Goals, and a Semi Final Game in Bracebridge
Article submitted by Chris Dunlop
Game 1 vs Amesbury Attack
On a cold, early morning, in Whoville...or I mean Baysville, the Kincardine Timbrmart Bantams started their weekend tournament with a game at 8 a.m.

Spencer Montgomery started in the pipes making many outstanding saves to keep the Kinucks in the game.  The score remained 0-0 going into the 3rd period when Brett Dunsbier seemed to score on a great hustle play to poke the puck past the Amesbury goalie, but the Referee blew the goal down.  The parents were getting ready for 3 on 3 overtime, but he Attack, mounted a pretty 2 on 1 play and scored with 16.2 seconds left in the game.  The Attack won against the Kinucks 1-0.

Game 2 vs Clarkson Hurricanes
Welcome to the Dallas Hewitt show!!!  With new stick in hand "Hewy" stole the show with his first goal coming off a hard fore-check where Dallas beat the goalie with a huge wrist shot.
Then in the second period, "Hewy's" second goal was a 2 on 1 which he received a sweet pass from Mitch Burrows.  "Hewy" slid it on the ice for a second goal.
The Hat Trick goal came off a blast from Michael Osadca in which "Hewy" tipped the puck past the Hurricane goalie.
The Hurricane scored a goal to make it 3-1 and the ghost 4th goal from a shot from Dallas Hewitt was so fast that the instant replay and goal judge couldn't catch the puck entering the net!
Kinuck WIN 3-1!

Game 3 vs Kirkland Lake Blue Devils
Summer time bragging rights were on the line for David McFarlan!  The Kinucks spotted the Blue Devils a 1-0 lead to make David nervous, but David came out onto the ice possessed that Kinucks would not loose this game as he scored the first goal on a great individual effort to beat the Blue Devil goalie, high into the net.
Brett Dunsbier then scored the 2nd goal by taking a powering shot which the goalie made the save, but Brett was determined and knocked in his own rebound.
McFarlane again, was relentless on the forecheck along with Dallas Hewitt who passed over to Payton Dunlop and Payton gave a pretty backpass to David who then shovels the puck behind the goalie.
The 4th goal was set up by some hard work by Dallas Hewitt in the Blue Devils zone as he slid the puck to Payton Dunlop who went "bar down"!
Kinucks win 4-2

Semi Final Action vs Ingersol Express
The kids "woke up" at 11 a.m.
The game "started" at 8 a.m.
The Kinucks were home in Kincardine by 2 p.m.!!!
Kyle and Travis the Kincardine Coaches could feel the impact of the early morning games had caught up to the team!  Tyler Bellefeuille made some tremendous saves and Matt Baker played a strong defensive game for the Kinucks.
Kincardine lost 3-0 in Semi-Final action

The parents, coaches and players want to thank Steve Ambeau for organizing a well enjoyed weekend by all.
