Sobey’s PeeWee Girls End League Play On A Winning Note
Ending the league play in first place Kincardine Peewee Kinucks  (Sobey’s) entered the year end tournament as favourites to win.

Our first game was  against our biggest rivals Walkerton.  First on the score sheet was Kincardine with a goal from Allen assisted by Clubb,  Followed up by a goal from Dales assisted by Duncan.  This ended the second  period .  Walkerton was not going to be outdone and tallied a goal in the third period to end the game 2-1 for Kincardine Sobey’s.      Entering our second game against Markdale , Dales started off the scoring assisted by Duncan in the second period.  Allen  didn’t think that was a big enough lead and scored one unassisted ending the second period.   Markdale fought hard and climbed within one with a goal of their own in the third ending the game 2-1 for Kincardine Sobey’s.      Our day was not over the flood gates were just opening with our next game against Owen Sound. In the first period three gaols were sored  one by Allen, Bell and Jolley  and an assist going to Mangotich.  In the second Allen answered again unassisted.  Entering the third up by four the team did not quit. Duncan started the third off assisted by Surridge.  Bell wanted in on the action again unassisted to end the game 6-0 for Kincardine Sobey’s.      The next day due to the work of the previous day Kincardine Sobey’s was in first place in the standings entering the final game against rivals Walkerton.  Battling back and forth the first period ended scoreless.  Walkerton would have none of this and scored in the second.  Answering for Kincardine  was  Clubb  and assisted by Allen.  Entering the third tied 1-1 the teams battled back and forth.  With 3:54 to go in the third Walkerton notiched another.  Try as they may Kincardine was unable answer the bell before time ran out.  Finishing off league play with a SILVER, way to go girls!!!      Successes of the weekend were not only measured in goals and assists strong efforts were put forth by the whole team. A goalie named  Brindley  stood on her head this weekend and kept us in games.  Gade although injured cheered gleefully from the bench. Boyd, Mc Leod, Patterson, and Stewart-Kemp all worked hard and made the team successful.  WAY TO GO GIRLS.... and  best of Luck at the Provincials. Thank you to our sponsor Sobey’s
