KINCARDINE HOME HARDWARE NOVICE REPORT !!
The novice team travelled to Listowel for a one day tournament on Sunday, March 13th.
The team played at 8 AM and beat the host team Listowel Cyclones 8-3. Kincardine goal scorers were Zach Wall (5), Wilson Shipp (2), and Claire Hunsburger. Assists were awarded to Liam Colhoun (2), Darcy Scott (2), Jordan Moulton (2), Kevin Coady (2), Jordan Beisel, and Hunsburger. The team moved the puck well and skated hard for such an early game with the hour travel and time change.
Game two was in the afternoon against St. Marys, who had beaten Goderich in game 1 by a score of 5-0. St. Marys scored early and often in this game, the kids from Kincardine just couldn't claw their way back into this game falling 8-1, scoring the loan goal for the Kinucks was Wall, assisted by Scott, and Hunsburger. The team is now in the process of setting up a best of three series with Saugeen Shores. A special thanks to the team for representing Kincardine in such a professional manner over the course of the day in Listowel.
The next tournament for the novices will be in Mt. Forest on Saturday, March 26th.
