Sobey's Kinuck Peewee Girls vs Markdale
The Kincardine Kinuck Pee Wee girls travelled to Markdale on Saturday November 6th to take on the Markdale Peewee Girls. The first goal of the game was scored by Kincardine’s own number 16 Ranor Kuz at minute forty seconds in first period with assistance from number 3 Georgia Fields and number 5 Brooke Storey. The second frame of the game saw some heavy goal scoring action. First blood in was again drawn by Kincardine’s number 9 Korrine Mangotich unassisted. Korrine showed that she was not done yet and scored her second goal only 3 minutes and 10 seconds into the second period. Markdale’s number 10 promptly returned a goal to put Markdale on the scoreboard down 3 to 1. Kincardine then opened up the guns and peppered the Markdale goalie. The Kincardine team was rewarded handsomely with two more goals, number 11 Madison Johnson with assistance from number 17 Christen Bell, put the Kincardine team up 4 to 1 at the 7:03 mark of the second. Kincardine then closed our goal scoring fest by sliding one by the Markdale goalie at 13:40 in the second by number 3 Georgia fields, with ample assistance from number 16 Ranor Kuz. Markdale then closed the second period with a late goal by number 15 Kristen Merritt. The end of the second period found Kincardine with a commanding 5-2 lead over the home town Markdale Peewee girls. The third period was played tough, the Kinucks team was able to squeak one by the Markdale goalie early in the third at the 2:00 minute mark by Kincardine’s own number 8 Mackenzie Nashiem with a second assist from play maker Ranor Kuz, which marker her second assist, way to go! This would end the scoring which saw the Kinucks victorious with a 6 to 2 win over Markdale.
