Co-operators take win over Lucknow
The Co-operators met up with Lucknow Friday evening in Tiverton.
The Co-operators came out playing hard and fast and early in the first period Ariel scored a great goal with the help of Justin and Daniella. In the second period, some fantastic attacking by Daniella and Ariel saw Justin score just over a minute in. The Co-operators stellar defensive play continued to keep Lucknow at bay and with thirty-six seconds remaining in the second, Ryan scored on a great pass from Ariel. As the third period began, the Co-operators were eagar to hold onto their lead. Two minutes into the period, the Co-operators were handed a tripping penalty. The Co-operators defense played strongly but with forty seconds left in the penalty Lucknow managed to sneak one in.
Three minutes later an excellent pass from Matty to Ryan made it to the back of Lucknow's net. Lucknow was to score one more goal towards the end of the period but it was not enough to catch the Co-operators lead, leaving the final score 4-2.
Way to go Co-operators on a well played game! Special congratulations go to player of the game and lunchbox recipient Ariel for her hard work. Play of the game honours went to Matty for his fantastic passing and again a special play of the game award went to the entire team for their excellent game play.
