Komets and Krushers Go Head to Head
The Scotia Bank Kincardine Komets faced off against friends on the Kincardine Krushers. It was a high energy game that left the Komets down 3-0.

Nathan Williams had a good work out at the game today and made countless saves. Noah Swann of the Krushers lifted the puck and hit the top of the pipe which bounced off. There was a collective gasp from the crowd. No goal! Williams made saves against Swann and Trent Pletch has both had good opportunities at scoring.

The second period started with Bailey Pierson getting two minutes in the box for tripping, during which time the Komets spent most of the time in their offensive zone, despite being down a player. The puck eventually found itself down in our zone and Zack Eybergen of the Krushers got a hold of it and sent it just past Williams’ pads. The score was 1-0 for the Krushers. Gordie Reaume had a great shot on net but it was stopped by Krushers goalie Marcelle Platt. Emily Killin shot the puck into our offensive zone and Reilly Colhoun chased it down but it was covered by Platt. No goal.

The third period began with Williams making another save. Shortly thereafter, Pletch of the Krushers hit the puck to the back of the twine, bringing the score up to 2-0 for the Krushers. Mitch Pyke had a shot on net, followed up by Joanne Page with another shot but both were stopped short. A breakaway by Pletch was stopped by Williams of the Komets. Swann grabbed the puck and sent it towards the net. Ryan Tanner received the shot and flipped it into the net, bringing the score up to 3-0. Noah Page, Noah McArthur and Cale Gibson all did a great job on defence. Great playing all around!
