First Round Play-Off win for the Tim-br Mart Bantams
The Tim-br Mart Bantam Rep Kinucks have wrapped up a 3-1 series win over the Mitchell Meteors in the first round of OMHA play-offs.  With the series tied at one game each, the Kinucks hosted the Meteors on 31 January for a 2-1 win.

Kincardine's superiority was greater than the score suggests, but after going ahead 2-0 in the first five minutes of the game, they eased off the gas with Mitchell putting one on the board early in the third.  Many in the stands thought the puck had gone in under the net but the goal stood leaving nerves to jangle in case there was a repeat of game one in the series when the Meteors had stolen a win in the third period.  This time the Kinucks kept out of the penalty box and held Mitchell at bay.  Scott McFarlan and Shane Vollmer had the goals with assists going to McFarlan, Cole Lamont, Sam Culmer and Tyson Rutledge.

On Feb 02, Kincardine won the series on the road in Mitchell with a convincing 4-0 win.  In perhaps their strongest game of the series they kept the puck in the Meteors' end for long periods and, despite a string of soft calls in the second and third periods, the Kinucks penalty kill dominated.  Dalton Regier was again strong in net earning the shut out.  Cole Lamont fired a hat trick, McFarlan had a single and assists went to Sheldon McBride (2), Vollmer, Corey Howse and Dalton Hayes.

Now the Kinucks wait for the winners of the series between Listowel and Walkerton who they will play in the OMHA second round.  In the meantime they play a WOAA group series for the Cruickshank Cup starting with home and home games against Saugeen Shores, Mitchell (again!) and Blyth-Brussels, winner of the Bantam C International Silver Stick.
