Montgomery Ford Bantam "B" girls attend the WOAA year end tournament in Wiarton this past weekend
The team 1st game was vs Saugeen Shores winning 7-0 . Then their next battle would against Blyth/Brussells on Saturday nite, with all cylinders firing , the girls peppered the Blyth goalie with shots, taking the the game all the way to the 3rd period to take a 2-1 lead with 3:26 left in the 3rd period maintaining the win to advance to the Final on Sunday @ noon. To only meet the Markdale Shooting Stars . The 1st period the team was all over Markdale out shooting them 5-1 easily, extending this into the 3rd period with a 2-2 tie which lasted till the last 7 minutes with Markdale scoring 2 more on power plays, winning 4-2 for the WOAA league championship !
The Montgomery Ford girls are still in the Provincal playdowns with a game Mar 5th mon nite @ 7:30pm in Walkerton to challenge these girls who are currently un-defeted & really should be a ranked "BB" team , hoping for a win from this game .
