Close game for Kincardine NHL#2 in Port!!

It was a
great day for hockey at the Plex. The Kincardine novice squad came out a bit
flat in the first, finding the groove proved a bit difficult.
Mid-way through the second Kincardine turned it up a notch, found their legs and started to hit the score board, with Cam Fletcher scoring the lone goal.
3rd period brought a second wind and the Kincardine team tied things up. Team #2 with some handy play making and passing was good to see. Mack Beisel with a couple end to end runs scoring a couple and Cam Fletcher with three breakaways capitalising on one brought us to within one. A turn of events saw the goal empty for 2-3 minutes due to an issue. The extra attacker was out to supplement and a great defensive effort was utilised to prevent any more goals while the net lay empty. Kincardine’s battle back was fierce but time was cut short as they were on their heels.
Final 4-3.
