Remax Novice Cougars WIN the championship game on Sunday March 25, 2012
On Thursday March 22 the Cougars faced off against the red
team at the Davidson Centre. Cameron Renaud scored all three goals with two of
them assisted by Holden Stevenson. Our
net minder Gordie Reaume shut the other team out. The final score was 3-0.
On Saturday March 24 the Cougars played against the Green Machine. It was a thrilling game with both teams playing hard. Cameron Renaud and Holden Stevenson scored unassisted goals for a final score of 2-1. It was a full house Sunday morning at the Davidson Centre ready to watch the final championship game for the Novice House league for the 2011/12 season. The Cougars and the Red team were well matched. Quiton Page(A.P.) scored the first goal of the game for the red team and Ryan Tanner their goalie played an awesome game stopping all shots in the first two periods. The Cougars picked up the pace in the third and Ben Watson was able to hit the twine assisted by Cameron Renaud. The crowd went wild!!! Gordie Reaume made some great stops and kept us in the game. Finally in the last two minutes of play the winning goal was put in by our top scorer of the year Cameron Renaud assisted by defenseman Tomas Nancekivell. Final score was 2 -1 and the Remax Cougars win the CHAMPIONSHIP!!! Way to go Cougars!!! You worked hard all season.
