Kincardine had a busy week with hockey
The Kincardine Midget girls had a full week of hockey. On December 7th, the girls played strong against Saugeen Shores, dominating the game with their passing and back checking to bring in a 6-1 win. Goals went to Dayle Smith, Emily Simpson (2), Taylor Nashiem, Mercedes Battler, and Cassandra Bacon. Assists go out to Battler, Lindsey Gossell, Sarah Catto, Caelyn Nashiem, and Simpson.

On December 8th, they faced the Walkerton Capitals. The game was evenly matched, with both teams playing hard. Caelyn Nashiem put one in the net, assisted by Battler, putting Kincardine on the scoreboard first. Walkerton evened the score, with the game ending in a 1-1 tie.

The girls faced Walkerton again on December 11th. Walkerton was the first to put one in the net, but that didn’t deter Kincardine, and they responded with a goal of their own. Each team battled back and forth, finishing with a 3-3 tie. Goal scorers were Simpson, Karen Roppel, Smith with assists going to Battler, Catto, Amber Woods, Tegan Moore, and Bacon.
