Kincardine Atom LL#2 Beats Hanover 2-1
Kincardine Kinucks came away with a win Friday night after defeating Hanover 2-1.  Cale Gibson opened up the scoreboard in the first period on a break away goal setup by Trent Pletch.

Trent Courtney determined to earn his first shut out of the season was put to the test by the Hanover squad.

Time and time again Courtney made save after save and kept his team in the game.  The lone goal scored by Hanover was tipped in off a Kincardine players skate and the commentators of the game stated "Not even an NHL goalie could have seen that one coming...".

Hanover had the Kinucks on their heels but forwards Daniella McKitterick, Jacob Sylvester, Andrew MacDonald, Libby Fletcher, Paige McLelland, Joanne Page were busy trying to keep the puck in the opponents end.

The second unassisted goal by Robert McGregor was a race between the clock and McGregor in the dying seconds of the second period.  With literally seconds left on the clock, McGregor let a Howitzer go at the Hanover net beating the goalie just as the buzzer sounded ending the second period.

The third period was a nail biter as Hanover was determined not to give up.  Michael Primeau, Aaron Reid, Jackson Alers, Thomas Nanckekneil made several great defensive plays to help out Courtney. Coaching staff was pleased with the teams effort and is looking forward to the next game January 13th against Lucknow.
