Canadian Tire Atom Girls Rep team Win again!!
Friday, January 11, 2013, the Atom Girl’s rep team played in Brussels against the Brussels/Blyth Atom Girls team and came out ahead with a 3-0 win.
During the first period Joanne Page made a great pass to Aysha Machan who quickly shot the puck out in front of the Brussels net and Georgia Tanner tipped it in for our first goal of the game. Chloe Page was right there ready to take a swing at the net as well. The team’s next goal was passed up to Kennedy Farrell by Jessica Anderson and Kennedy had no trouble at all scoring again for the team during the second period. Heidi Allen was able to keep the puck out of our end most of the game with her quick speed and determination. During the third period Claire Hunsburger was able to score the third goal with the help of great team work and assists from Kennedy Farrell and Brooklyn MacArthur. Emma Dixon along with all the other defense players made another shut-out for our goalie Marcelle Platt! Congrats Girls on a game well played!
