On Saturday March 2nd the Kincardine Canadian Tire Atom Girls travelled to Durham to play in the WOAA year end tournament.
Their first opponents would be the TCDMHA Rebels.  After a frustrating game where nothing would go right for Kincardine, the Kinucks found themselves losing to the Rebels for the first time this season by a score of 2-0.  The girls quickly gathered themselves and got ready to face the Grey Highland Shooting Stars.

They came out strong and out played the Shooting Stars from start to finish in the match.  This time the Kinucks would emerge with a 2-0 victory.  Goals going to Chloe Page unassisted and Kennedy Farrell from Brooklyn MacArthur.  This win would send the Kinucks to the WOAA consolation final on Sunday.  Their opponents for this match up would be the Mount Forest Rams.  Kincardine would pick up where they left off and continue to dominate.  The final score was 4-0 in Kincardine’s favour.  Goals going to Kennedy Farrell, Aysha Machan, Brooklyn MacArthur and Claire Hunsburger.  Assists to Hunsburger and Jessica Anderson (2).  A solid game on defence from Heidi Allen, Joanne Page and Emma Dixon.  This game would be the 21st shutout of the season for goal tender Marcelle Platt.  Notable mention to MacKenzie Kuntz for her hard digging in order to keep the puck in the offensive end.  Georgia Tanner has been missing from the lineup since February 18th with a concussion but has now been cleared by the Doctor and is ready to start skating again.  The girls still have some hockey yet to play as they have also won their regional playdowns and are one of twelve teams from their class who qualified to play in Ottawa from April 4-7 for the provincial championship.  Go Kinucks Go.
