The Kincardine Montgomery Ford Midgets girls travelled to Flesherton on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 for another match up against the Markdale squad. The venue was changed to Flesherton due to the Markdale ice being down. The game was late getting started due to lack of referees also. It was a pretty evenly matched game until Markdale found the back of Kincardine's net in the second period. Kincardine answered back with a beautiful goal that wrapped around the inside of the net and continued right out on the ice which neither ref was able to see and therefore not being called.
The only penalty in the game was on Markdale for
hooking. The official score of the game was 1-0 for Markdale, but we all know
you girls tied that game!
The Ford girls have two more practices this week
and then they are off to play in the Lucan tournament on Jan. 11 - 13. Good luck
girls!
