Presto Crest PeeWee's Have a Great Showing in Walkerton!
The Presto Crest PeeWee's had a great weekend of hockey.  The team started off Saturday Nov 3 with a regular season game against Saugeen Shores PeeWee #2. The Kinucks came out strong and took an early lead off a blistering shot from the point by Connor Dixon . The team showed great improvement with clean crisp passes and moved the puck well up the boards.  A strong break out by Aaron Bowman had him skate the length of the ice and beat the Saugeen Shores net minder.

.  The Presto CPresto Crest PeeWees showed great determination and this allowed the team to get 3 more goals from Adesh Sandu, Brody Hewitt and Max Colley- Aquino.  The forwards showed great strength in moving the puck and a great performance was given by Tyler Dahmer and Kenu Tiu helping with break outs and setting up a number of offensive rushes.  Liam MacKinnon stood strong in net and skated away with his first shutout of the season. The Kincardine Peewee LL team travelled to Walkerton for the annual Walkerton PeeWee LL Tournament.   The Kinucks started off this tournament with an early start – first game at 8:00 a.m. against the Walkerton Capitals RKS PeeWee # 3 team.  The boys kept up their strong steady play from Saturday and scored first.  This was a tight battle with Walkerton #3 – lots of end to end action.   The great defence play by Connor Uzzell and Jackson Alers and Colton Green-Howatt kept the play with the score being tied.   It was 4 - 4 when the buzzer went.  The coaches prepared their players for the shootout!  After three rounds of shooters, the game was still tied.  Walkerton sent in their fourth skater but MacKinnon flat out denied the Walkerton shooter.  Kincardine’s Ryan Renaud skated in and placed the puck dead center for the win.  This was a thrilling 5-4 shoot-out victory for the Kinucks!Game #2 was against the rival Walkerton Capitals PeeWee # 1 team.  At the last meeting, the Kincardine team walked away with a 2-0 loss - so the Kinucks were pumped and determined for the win.  Kincardine got themselves on the board, scoring late in the first period, with a goal from Tre Burrows.  Two minutes later, Burrows connected again with a tick tack toe passing move from Mark Yetman and Justin Moulton.  The second period started out strong with one more goal being scored by Kincardine’s Joshua Catelo.  Walkerton mounted a strong comeback scoring 2 goals in the second period but Kincardine’s Aaron Bowman would answer both those goals netting 2 more for Kincardine.   Kincardine would go on to win the game 5-3.   This set Kincardine up to advance to the championship final game against the Mount Brydges Cougars.  A good solid effort was given for this third and final game but Kincardine was unable to penetrate the Cougar’s strong defensive play and would end up falling to Mount Brydges.   The Kincardine Presto Crest PeeWees had accomplished what they set out to do – show what determination and teamwork can accomplish – and finish the day on a very high note!!  The team showed that they have come a long way and will continue to be a force to be reckoned with during this 2012 / 2013 season.   Fans and coaches are very proud! The team will practice hard this week in preparation for their upcoming regular season game against the Walkerton Capitals PeeWee #1 on Saturday, November 10th at 4:00 p.m. in Walkerton, Ontario.
