After what turned out to be a fight filled night of kids versus parents hockey at the Tiverton arena in which the a talented group of dads faced a barage of shots to emerge on the losing end of the challenge the Red Machine took to the ice on Saturday to face a spirited Black offense. With a definite improvement from our bench as well as star contributions from Blake 'the bullet' Edwards on power forward and Nathan 'not in my net' Desmond between the pipes the teams battled hard at both ends. With the likes of Evan 'crazy feet' Graham and Spencer 'flash' Humble providing a powerful one-two punch on the forward line it was only a matter of time before we would find our stride. Unfortunately in the end some questionable calls by the referees for both sides proved to be our undoing as a last minute goal was waved off denying Blake his hat trick and ending in a 4-3 loss. Hopefully the team can continue to built on this game and come out victorious in the next weekend.
