The Right Skate to Start March Break with Great Novice Hockey
The Black Attack started their March Break off on the right skate when the had a lot of hockey fun hosting Arran-Elderslie’s Ice Dogs at centre ice of the Davidson Centre.

Charlie Hall Elwood put his right skate forward setting up shop for the Attack as No. 1. Hall Elwood built on his performance of Saturday by again showing his great focus answering to substantial pressure by the Ice Dogs particularly in Period 3 when the Dogs tried a six-on-one attack to see if the could tie up the game in the final minute. Despite this strategy Hall Elwood played his position cool and keen delivering a shut out. No. 14 Trent Houghton took advantage of the six-on-one to take an opportunity on a break away to bury the puck at 0:13 Period 3. Centre Forward No. 15 Thomas Harmesworth came out with his own Attack agenda. Playing a great game throughout. In Period 1 he scored with an assist from Houghton at 5:28. Some of the best defensive action of the game went to No. 6 Sophie Nancikvell who played her defence with refinement and precision sending the puck back up to the forward line again and again. No. 8 Malcom Lane joined her on the defence aided by Dylan Garneau and sister Bella Lane. No. 9 Jude Hodgins again played a sports-person like game all business bringing the puck up to take shots on net against the Ice Dogs No. 1 Aidan Heard. Heard showed himself to be a match stopping one hard shot by the Attack fast forwards by catching the puck right in his glove. Harmesworth, Houghton, Hodgins, and No. 11 Ela Jones, helped by No. 2 Coby Palmer, No. 4 Ethan Gouthro, No. 5 Dylan Garneau and No. 7 Addyson Richards working as a team of circling sharks to show relentless pressure taking multiple shots on the Ice Dogs’ net. After 30 minutes of some great hockey fun with both teams fielding a fine performance by all players, the Attack took home the win at 2-0. A well deserved success against a fine opponent. Have a great March Break Attack!
