BLACK ATTACK IN FULL FORCE
What an incredible ending to an incredible season! Dressed in their Black Attack shirts, the team closed the season with three amazing games in Mt Forest, and the best playing we've seen all year.

The Attack got off to a slow start first thing in the morning against Barrie, giving up 8 goals in the first two periods. We'll chalk that up to an early morning and a long drive! But Aaron kept us in the game stopping break away after breakaway in the second period. The shots on net were the highest we've seen all year and Barries speed proved a major challenge. Charlie snagged us a goal to improve our morale...and the Attack never gave up, instead they fueled up their jets, with a killer third period. With one goal a piece, Kincardine dominated the play and worked hard as a team to protect their net. Thomas put goal #2 on the score board with loads of cheers. The final score was 9-2 but Black finished the game with their heads held high and eager for the next game...or was it the lunch party?
The second game of the day was a nail biter for all the parents in the stands. Dundalk had already defeated Kincardines Red Team 5-0, and the kids were well aware of the challenge they faced. "Bring it on" said Dylan as he took to the ice where he fearlessly defended his goalie. The play went back and forth for most of the first period, with Ela narrowly missing the net a few times. We needed the first goal in this game to prove to ourselves how great we are. And low and behold Miss figure skating Bella came through with her first goal of the season, and bunny hops and hugs on the ice by her teammates. We headed into the second period with a 1-0 lead, and held strong throughout. Finally with only 3 minutes left to go, we added two more quick goals to take the edge off. Koby took a quick rebound and hammered it in the net and (#19 according to the game sheet, and we don't have a #19!) scored with only a minute remaining(I think it was Charlie :S ). Black Attack was up 3 goals and these kids were pumped. After much pleading by the players, the coaches agreed to switch positions up a bit. Uh oh, Dundalk fired in two back to back goals! Clearly Jude plays an integral role in our defence with his amazing instinctive reactions that consistenly rob the other team of breakaways. Resuming positions, Black held them off for the remaining five minutes to take the game 3-2. Ugggh, a sigh of relief, and the parents and grandparents could finally breathe again! After a break, the Attack hit the ice for the final game of the season. BCH was about to see Black in full force. Adi and Sophie intercepted the puck over and over while the Gouthro boys worked centre ice tireslessly. BCH snuck a goal in to win the first period. But the Attack came back, and Malcolm almost scored his first goal but shot wide, where Charlie picked it up to score our first goal of the game. Ela worked the boards beautifully in this game and led the others by example showing them finesse playing at its best. The third period was rockin!! And T-Bone wasn't leaving without a hat trick! The quickest hat trick in Novice history! Three goals in one shift, assited by Sophie, fired past the goalie. Sebass had his quarters ready! Charlie took the final goal of the season with an assist by Bella. And the Black Attack ended the year on a high note with a 5-2 victory and triumphantly accepted their medals. We may not have won the most games this year, but Black Attack players played with sportsmanship, integrity and hard work, and most importantly worked as a team. The leaders on our team were humble and fantastic role models for their teamates. Best of luck to everyone next year as they pursue new adventures and form new bonds with new teamates. Black Attaaaaaaack!!
