Kincardine Scotiabank Atom girls stay competitive in Clearview tourney
The Scotiabank Atom girls were in Alliston/Barrie last weekend for the Clearview March Madness tournament.  The girls held their own and stayed competitive throughout the tourney playing with heart and determination in all four games.

The girls played two games Friday, the first has us deadlocked at 0-0 against Stratford. In game two the Kinucks took a 2-1 win against Peterborough.
Saturday saw a late game against Kemptville to go to the final. Although the girls were a bit tired from all the fun and excitement of the day. The Atoms battled hard, fighting for scoring chances but come up a bit short for the loss.

Sunday morning the Kinucks were playing for pride against Mt Forest.  The Rams were tough and came out swinging determined to play a strong offensive game.  The Kinucks had some great passing but couldn’t capitalize on their scoring chances and the scoreboard did not reflect the strong all around team effort from the girls.
Both losses for the Kinucks came from the finalists, with Kemptville beating Mt forest in the championship. The Kinucks finished the tourney in 3rd with a 1-2-1 record.

The Atom girls still have some hockey left to play with a couple more exhibition games and the year end tournament.
