LEGION PEEWEES PREPARE FOR SILVER STICK
Kincardine Legion Peewees prepare for Kincardine Regional Silver Stick tournament over Christmas Holidays!

The peewees are headed to the Christmas break preparing for the Regional Silver Stick tournament.  They have a busy week of practices to allow the coaching staff to fine tune the ship!

Prior to the Christmas break the Kinucks travelled to Seaforth on Saturday, Dec. 13th and came home with a convincing 10-3 victory.  (A special thanks to Steve "RENO" Beisel for helping out on the bench as our 3 young coaches were busy playing for the Ripley Wolves on this evening.)  Goal scorers in the contest were Liam "I FORGOT MY GLOVES" Colhoun (3), Mack "LESS FRO" Beisel (2), Jordan "SMOOTH HANDS" Beisel (2), Nolan "SMILES" MacKinnon, Kevin "MOUTHGUARD" Coady, and Zach "THE BACONATOR" Wallzy.  Assists went to JB (4), Colhoun (2), Macker (2), Cale "FORGETFUL" Gibson (2), MacKinnon, Mitch "THE COBRA" Pyke, Ethan "CRAZY LEGS" Petrie, and Kaleb "BLINKY" Smith.  Every kinuck skater got a point in the game, which shows the deep of scoring which can present it self when the team is working hard.

On Wednesday, Dec. 17th the Kinucks headed to Teeswater to face South Bruce.  A slow start saw the Kinucks trailing 1-0 after the first period.  The offence came to life in the second and heading to the flood the Kinucks were up 3-1.  Goal scorers were Coady, MacKinnon, and JB.  Apparently all these three goals were unassisted.  The Kinucks would continue on the offence in the third and head home with another victory (6-2).  Scoring in the final frame were MacKinnon (his second) and Noah "FLIP SHOT" Swann (2) playing up from the atom squad.  Noah suited up due to the flu bug hitting Captain Colhoun.  The loan assist in the whole game came from MacKinnon.  (I don't think the officials of this game were feeling the Christmas love regarding "assists" and were more like scrooge!)

The final game before the Christmas break was at home against the Walkerton Capitals on December 20th.  The team headed into this contest riding a 12 game unbeaten streak, which dated back to the Chris Knott Memorial tournament.  It appeared the squad was already in "holiday" mode, and the visiting Capitals out worked, out skated, and obviously out scored the Kinucks 4-2.  Both Kinucks goals came from Colhoun (who returned from the flu), assists went to JB and Wallzy.

The Kinucks will look to start a new streak as they begin Silver Stick action on Saturday, Dec. 27th in KINCARDINE vs. their rivals from highway 21 Saugeen Shores Storm at 4:10PM.  Please come out and support your local Kincucks!
