Local Rivals Tie Game
Peewee LL 1 and 2 faced off on Wed. night. Both teams on edge, hoping to get the bragging rights to win against their friends, ended up in a tie. Peewee 1 came out strong in the first period with a lot of action in the opponent end. Nathan Andrews scored the first and only goal for most of the game, assisted by Robert McGregor and Robbie Tibben. The second period showed a lot more action in the zone with Gordie Reaume making numerous saves.
It was a nail biter in the third period. Ahead by only 1 goal, a penalty and a pulled goalie allowed Peewee LL 2 to score with less than 2 seconds remaining in the game. Peewee LL 1 went off the ice looking defeated but both teams played hard, leaving the score 1-1. Looking forward to the next match up between these two teams as it is sure to be a good one!
