Centennial Windows & Doors Kincardine Peewee LL1 Take Championship at Clifford Minor Hockey Tournament
The first game of the day Kincardine played Centre Wellington. Scoring started off in the first period with a goal from Trent Pletch-assisted by John Graham and Robert McGregor-assisted by Gus Young. Second period Aidan Berkman, got one by the goalie-assisted by Ben Voskamp and Noah McArthur and third period scorers were Cameron Renaud-assisted by Robbie Tibben and McGregor-assisted by Voskamp. Stellar performance by Gordie Reaume in net with a final score of 5-0.

Second game was against Bruce Peninsula. The opponents got the first goal and Kincardine tied it up 1 -1 in the first period with a goal by Nathan Andrews, assisted by Renaud and McGregor. After the first period, coaches gave a good pep talk and the team came out on fire to get 5 goals in the second and 2 more in the 3rd. Goals by Pletch-assisted by Aaron Reid, Renaud-assisted by Andrews, Reaume-assisted by Andrews, Berkman-assisted by Pletch, Reid-unassisted, Reaume-assisted by Young and Berkman-assisted by Tomas Nancekivell, McGregor. Goalie, John Graham made several saves, leaving the score 8-2 final.

Third and final game for the championship was against Walkerton. It wasn 't looking good as the Kinucks only had a 1 goal lead at the end of the first, scored by Renaud, assisted by Reid and Nancekivell. Again, the coaching staff used their words of wisdom and Kincardine came out with a little more spirit in the second and third. Goals going to Reid-unassisted, Andrews-unassisted and Nancekivell-assisted by Andrews. Final score of 4-0. Reaume earned his second shutout of the day.

Second trophy earned by the Peewees in a few weeks! Boys are ready as they head into the playoffs next month.
