Novice Kinucks deliver Halloween Nightmare for Rams
Spending Halloween in Kincardine will not be something the hard working Mount Forest Rams will be looking to repeat, in the near future. It was a nightmare at the Tiverdome, while the Pumpkin Orange clad Novice Kinucks delivered a scintillating display of offensive hockey.

The Home Hardware sponsored Novice Kinucks would take an early lead when Trent Houghton skated in on a break away firing top shelf, where they keep the Halloween candy! This opening goal was assisted by fellow trick or treaters Joshua Cuyler and Zak Fletcher.

Although the Rams would hang in for a short while, even tying it up at 1-1, they simply couldn't contain the offensive onslaught provided by these scary young Kinucks.

It would be Houghton again, that would fire in the Kinucks second with assists going to Joshua Cuyler, again, and Brody Lyndon. This would actually be the sign for the goalscoring floodgates to open. Despite the Rams best efforts, the Kinucks were in simply terrifying form.

The defensive quartet of Drake, Carnell, Beddington and Graham were just too scary for the Rams to even approach. This was the foundation that Kinucks built upon when Beckett Graham blasted them further into the lead.

Ty McQuillin, Jack Charbonneau, Brody Lyndon, Ethan Kaminski and Jordan McDonald where simply flying out there, resulting in the Rams shaking in their skates! If that wasn't bad enough, the physical presence of Houghton and Fletcher working down the boards, like two big monsters, was enough to give Mount Forest nightmares!

The Kinucks would run out 8-2 victors with further goals going to Jack Beddington, Ty McQuillin, Jordan McDonald and Jack Charbonneau. McQuillin, McDonald and Cuyler would all add to their assist totals, also.

It has to be said that the scariest thing was kept for the third period. It's obvious to me that Trent Houghton was secretly switched out for Zdeno Chara in the final period. I say this because whomever was wearing #14 reigned terror over the Rams goalie, with a series of blistering slapshots! The first hit the top corner of the net, followed by bullet shots which hit the crossbar and the goalie's face mask! There are no 8 year old's shooting slapshots like this, so the only conclusion that can be made is that Chara was secretly iced in the third period for Kincardine! Head coach Art Houghton, should probably be reported to the WOAA for this, since it topped off a Kinucks Halloween performance that was nothing short of terrifying for the visiting Rams!!!
