On Wednesday the Beisel Midgets traveled to Zurich for an evening
game. Zurich
were fired up for this game having previously lost to Beisels in the dying
seconds on their trip to Kincardine.
Kincardine found themselves down 1 within 30 seconds. 7 mins later they were down by 3. Kincardine, finally waking up, scored.
The goal by Bowman, assisted by Jones and Williamson ended the period 3-1.
Second period saw Zurich grab another unanswered goal
Final period saw a different Kincardine team emerge from change room. They dominated play and scored 3 goals to tie the game at 4-4. Scoring were Meurs, Harrison and Burrows, assists by Kuz 2, Fohkens and Byle. In the final seconds Kincardine thought they had repeated the previous meeting finding the net again with 2 seconds on the clock but the referee ruled the net was off.
An awesome game to watch.
The Kincardine Biesel team showed some real character and spirit coming back from a deficit.
