Girls hit the ground running with the start of the regular season.
The girls had a busy first week of the regular season seeing them play 4 games in 8 days.  They opened the season on the road playing the team from Grey Highlands.  After a hard fought battle they walked away with a 1-1 tie.  On Wednesday night they traveled to Desboro to take on the TCDMHA team.  A back and forth battle saw the girls walk away with a 6-4 win.

The next night they were hosts to the Saugeen Shores Storm.  After a toughly contested first period Miya Wall assisted by Hannah Brandon put them on the board with 25 seconds left.  The second period played out much like the first until the girls exploded for 3 goals in 1:53.  The first was scored by Abby Boulton assisted by Miya Wall.  The second was scored by Rachel Rumbold assisted by Abby Boulton and the third was an unassisted goal by Abby Boulton.  The girls continued to roll along scoring mid way through the third by Rachel Catelo assisted by Abby Boulton and the scoring was capped off with Abby Boulton netting her hat trick assisted by Rachel Rumbold and Rachel Catelo.

Saturday afternoon brought the Owen Sound Hawks to the Davidson Centre.  The first period had the girls down 1 nothing and the girls were looking to the second to turn things around.  Miya Wall evened the score with her first of the day.  Next was Aurelie Bronkhorst with an assist from Eden Anderson.  The third began in a 2-2 tie until Aurelie scored an unassisted goal early on.  2 minutes later she netted her first ever hat trick assisted by Hannah Brandon and Addyson Richards.  Strong defensive play by the defence parings of Danika Legge and Breigha Pierson and Emma LeBrasceur and Eden Anderson helped to prevent many Owen Sound chances.  Jennifer McLarty added to the tally with an unassisted goal and Miya Wall popped in two more unassisted goals for her hat trick to make the score 7-3.  Some more key saves by goalie Bianca Holland kept it that way and the girls came away with another win.

The girls would like to welcome a new player to the team Bronwynn Jones who made her first appearance this game!  The girls are next in action November 3rd against the Walkerton Capitals at 6pm
