The Girls ended the season playdowns on a high on Sunday
with a win against the Saugeen Shores Storm.
Reminiscent of their last game against the Storm, the Girls had a blast with both Trainers Reagan and Anne on the bench. Gracie MacIntosh excitedly suited up in Goalie Pads for the Kinucks to stand in net.
Brette Stewart was the first to score on a breakaway for the Kinucks in the first period at just a minute in. Not ten seconds later, Sadie White found a breakaway and scored again for the Kinucks. The rest of the period saw the Storm with some strong defensive plays, limiting opportunities for the Kinucks to score, but nearing the end, Sadie White found the net again with an assist from Lilah Rock.
The second period saw only one goal on the Storm, achieved by Avery Boulton on a clean breakaway.
In the third period, Bouton rushed another breakaway to score for the Kinucks! Lilah Rock was next up at the net to score with an assist from Brette Stewart. Jaelyn Price scored soon after with an assist from Avery Boulton, followed by Lilah Rock, this time assisted by Sadie White and Brette Stewart. The final goal of the game was placed by Defence Emily Drake.
