Kincardine Minor Hockey Association presents the Simmons Memorial U13 Local League Tournament
December 2 & 3, 2023
Playing rules and tournament regulations as per OMHA/OWHA Manual of Operations
All teams must register with tournament officials prior to their first game with an approved roster.
Each team must supply one carded coach and trainer on the bench with a maximum of five officials on the bench as per OMHA /OWHA rules.
Each team shall bring two sets of jerseys. The home team shall wear light colours.
Pre-game warm-up of (3) three minutes will be allowed. The clock will start as soon as the game officials arrive on the ice. Team must be prepared to play twenty minutes before their scheduled game time in the event that the tournament is running ahead of schedule.

2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie

Coin Toss
There is no overtime in round robin play.
All games will be 10-10-15
No Time Outs in round robin play.
Each team will get one timeout in Finals only
Overtime Format
4 on 4 - 5 Minutes Sudden Victory, same end
3 on 3 – 5 Minutes Sudden Victory, switch ends
Sudden Victory Shootout – 3 shooters from each team shoot, after which will be sudden victory.
Shooters cannot repeat until all players have shot
Mercy Rule: When a team is winning by (5) five or more goals after the first two periods, the clock will be run straight time.
All minor penalties will be 2 minutes during straight or stop time.
Game Misconducts: All game misconduct and other applicable suspensions are as per OMHA /OWHAManual of Operations.
Fighting and Match Penalties: A player who receives a fighting major or match penalty shall be suspended from the tournament.
NO PROTESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED
THE TOURNAMENT COMMITTEES DECISION WILL BE FINAL
