Kincardine Kinucks Crabby Joe's Pee Wee Boys bring home the trophy

On Sat Jan 2nd Kincardine boys played at the Arran Elderslie Ice Dogs Pee Wee tournament held in Chesley.  For their first game Kincardine played Arran-Elderslie Ice Dogs, and to say the least Kincardine were fantastic through out the whole game, they played well defensively and offensively.  Their goalie Craig Luinstra shined in the net as well, and for their awesome team work and goals by J.D. Gouthro, Cory House & Jared Allingham they won their first game, with a shut out for Luinstra.

Their second game was a little tougher against the Durham Huskies.  Both teams were evenly matched, with a 2-2 score through out the majority of the game.  Both goals scored by Owen Hunsburger, and Owen Fohkens, and it looked as though over time was inevitable.  Then with 5 seconds left on the clock in the third period Durham scored, making it 3-2, and winning the game.  Kincardine was not discouraged, and was looking forward to their final game of the tournament, and the day.

The Kincardine Kinucks were ready for their final game against the Stayner Cyclones.  The boys had never played this team and was wondering about their opponents, and whether they were a strong team.  They soon found out.  The boys cleaned up with 5 goals by Owen Jones, Brett Colhoun, Owen Fohkens, Owen Jones again, and J.D. Gouthro.  Kincardine defense Corbyn Fields, Mathew Strader, Virat Tripathi, and Alex Fisk did a superb job keeping Stayner away from their goalie Craig Luinstra.  Luinstra walked away with another shut out, his second for the day.  Lastly Kincardine's wingers Logan Wolfe, and Rachit Sood kept the passing and plays moving towards Stayners net, allowing goals to happen for Kincardine.  In the end the score was 5-0 for Kincardine.

The boys lead the way in points, and winnings, and brought home the trophy for first place.  Congratulations Kincardine Pee Wee LL boys, you worked, hard, and as a team, that work really paid off!  Great effort by all.
