Bantam Girls Win in Chatsworth
November 10 in Chatsworth.
For the first time this year the Kincardine Bantam Girls LL team played with a full compliment of eleven skaters but this would not last long.

Playing in Chatsworth, by the end of the first period Kincardine were down by a goal despite the best efforts of goalie Amber Howald. Halfway through the second period Kincardine fell behind 2-0. 30 seconds later Hayli Charette scored an unassisted goal to give the team a much needed lift. With the wingers Lydia Martin, Makenzie Nashiem, Makayla McGregor, Georgia Fields and Hayley Sorbara digging out pucks along the boards and overall team hustle Chatsworth were penned in their own end for the rest of the period but Kincardine left the ice down by a goal. As luck would have it they were also down an injured player and a broken skate blade but quick thinking and borrowed skates had 10 skaters returning for the third period. The defense, lead by newcomer Hayley Woods and Morgan Robertson picked their game up a notch as Kincardine continued pressure Chatsworth in their own end. Four minutes in, centre Danielle McBride got a goal on a nifty set up from Martin and Kirsten Walden to get the team even. With momentum shifting, two minutes later Georgia Fields took a pass off the boards from Alice Thorpe to score the winning goal.
With the win the girls took a modest two game winning streak to home ice for Sunday afternoon.
