On Saturday afternoon the Kincardine Home Hardware Novice Rep team took on the Mt Forrest Rams. It was a very spirited game, with both teams taking penalties and fighting hard in the corners.
Kincardine put one in the back of the Mt Forest net early in the first on a shot by Quinton Page with assistes from Tyler Johns and Dylan Chinnick. Just Minutes later Quinton Page scored again on a pass from Brandon Bishop.
The second period saw lots of chances for both teams. Mt Forest managed to keep the Kinucks from growing the lead until late in the period when Quinton Page netted his third for the hat trick with an assist from Jared Houghton. Less than a minute later Graeden Colhoun scored his first of the game on a pass from Quinton Page. The third period was all about defense. The Rams came out strong and managed to cut the lead to one goal. The kinucks fought them off and held the lead, to end the game 4-3. Some excellent goal tending from Kwade Beisel and Rowen Cherrett and some hard work from our defensive lines held the Rams at Bay. the Kinucks next game is Nov 23 vs the Hanover Falcons.
