BCH Comes to Town
Saturday Night Hockey in Kincardine….. saw the Oldtimers Bantam Team host the Bayfield, Clinton, Hensall (BCH) team.
Brad Liddle and Seamus Small shared the goal tender duties. Speedster, Jordan Bell, opened up the scoring early in the first period with Joel Riggin catching the assist. Two minutes later, Marcel Fohkens and Jason McDonell set up Ryan Swift for the second of the period. BCH got even before period’s end.. With Kincardine swarming the BCH goalie, McDonell swept one in front of the net and Swift fired it in. The second period saw plenty of action from the Kincardine team. Nine seconds in, Fohkens set up Jesse Hall who poked it home. Geordie Farrell then skated through the BCH team, made a couple of head fakes and found gold! Before the cheering subsided, McDonell slid a pass to Swift who picked up his hat trick – an excellent night for Swifty!!. Closing out the period was Fohkens with assists awarded to Bell and Brendan McCartney – nice give and go play boys! Mc Donell lit up the scoreboard with a backhander that found the five hole ably assisted by Fohkens. A second effort by Logan Shewfelt paid off in a goal- mouth scramble. BCH answered the call and when Shewfelt fired on the net, Bell turned, fired and hit pay dirt. Final score: Kincardine Oldtimers Bantam Team: 10, BCH: 3
