Peewees face tough competition in South Bruce.
The Kincardine Peewees were in Teeswater on Sat Dec 20. SBMHA has been the girl’s stiffest competition this year and the girls were all a bit anxious knowing they faced a tough team.  South Bruce struck first finally beating Vana top shelf late in the first.  Both teams battled hard for the puck. The second period saw South Bruce in our end for the majority of the frame, constantly testing Vana making sure she was on her game. Heading into the third the girl’s confidence was shaken but not stirred.

The Kinucks skated hard, working the boards trying to catch South Bruce off guard then with a strong pass from Paige M. Kennedy F  beat South Bruce between the pipes for the tying goal.

The determination and frustration of both teams shone through when South Bruce took a body contact penalty. Despite their best efforts the peewees could not capitalize on the power play ending the game at 1-1.

The girls will face South Bruce again on Jan 9th for their first game during PINK ON THE RINK tourney in Exeter. The stakes are higher and each team will be starving for the win. It will be game of the net minders.
Vana is determined to keep her goals against at just 2 when in net for the Peewees this year.
