Girls bounce back after dissapointment at Pink on the Rink
The Kincardine Peewees narrowly escaped snowmageddon and braved the roads to convoy to Exeter for Pink on the rink.  The girls first game against south bruce was cancelled and scored a tie as neither team could arrive to play. The second game was the first defeat of the year and a big lesson for the girls, learning that they are not untouchable.

Saturday saw the girls play Bluewater twice for a chance at the final , and the girls fell short unable to shift momentum their way and stop Bluewaters three sharp shooters.

Although the girls left the tourney disappointed it was a great learning curve and realization that in order to win we must want it and fight for it more than our opponent.

On Jan 18 the girls were in Walkerton for a makeup game that was cancelled due to weather. The Peewees were nervous after coming off a losing stint in Exeter. The first period was scoreless allowing the girls to get their feet under them again. Halfway through the second the Kinucks regained their confidence in play and with a quick pass from Mack, Brooklyn C was able to beat the caps net minder.  That was the spark the girls needed to play their game, and with .08 seconds left in the second, Mack was at it again with a quick tip to Brooklyn M who scored glove side against Walkerton.

The girls headed to the third, with confidence, 24 seconds in, a pass from Brooklyn M allowed Brooklyn C to beat the Caps between the pipes for her second of the game. Walkerton retaliated just 13 seconds later cutting the Kinucks lead to 2 for a final of 3-1. The win allowed the girls to regroup and regain their confidence, remembering what it takes to win, the Kinucks face upper Maitland  on Jan 24 in Tiverton.
