Game 7 saw the Girls in Walkerton against
the mighty Capitals to start the final series in the playdowns.
The Game was high-spirited both on and off the ice; the Girls moved fast, passed often, and had many shots on net but periods one and two would both finish without goal.
Both teams played hard with pre-game talks from coaches suggesting their finish in the game would determine their contention to play in the impending Provincials tournament. This is what they’ve worked so hard for this year.
Both teams would actively pass and block plays and neither team would back down. It wasn’t until the third period that an opportunity would open up at the Capitals net and Forward Emma MacDonald would score for the Kinucks with an assist from Gabby Garneau. It was the only goal this game, and it was well earned. One left to go, Kinucks!! All the best in your final game on Thursday in Kincardine!
Final score: 1-0.
