Legion Kinucks start next round of playoffs with a WIN!

After defeating Listowel in 5 games, the last one
6-0, the Kincardine Legion Kinucks take on Mitchell at home. The team pulled it together in the last
couple games with great goaltending and great playing by all. Standouts were Ethan Long, Andrew Potter,
Owen Jones, Grant Stevens and Jakob Dunlop.
Game one against Mitchell saw some great scoring chances by both teams but the first period ended 0-0. Both teams got lots of shots on goal but none made it on the scoreboard. End of second still 0-0.
The third period started with Mitchell clearly on the offense and Kincardine struggling to keep up. Finally the first goal was scored by Brett Burrows assisted by Owen Jones and Jakob Dunlop making it 1-0. Ethan Long got one in assisted by Potter, 2-0 for the Kinucks. Mitchell got one by Primeau 2-1. Kincardine got a power play opportunity with some great playing by Owen Jones but no goal. Mitchell fought back and most of the two minutes was played in the wrong end of the ice.
With 18 seconds left Mitchell had pulled their goalie and called a timeout but were unable to capitalize, final 2-1. Great exciting game boys!!! Next game Tuesday in Mitchell.
