KMHA Return to Play Planning
Submitted By KMHA on Wednesday, August 18, 2021
Fellow Kinucks,

As we inch closer to the start of the 2021-2022 seasons, we continue to progress and improve our Return to Play plan for Kincardine Minor Hockey. Due to the current restrictions still in place and continued uncertainty over the last few months, programming will now start with the commencement of Representative team tryouts in our U13 to U18 age groups in mid September. Both OMHA and OWHA U9 and U11 will commence with the required Players Pathway Skates prior to tryouts commencing in those age groups. 4 skates are scheduled in each age group and are listed on the KMHA calendar on our website. These skates are open to all players in their respective age group and are not part of the tryout process. Attendance is optional for all 4 skates. Please check out the tryout schedule tab on the KMHA website for the remaining tryout dates and locations for all age groups in both OMHA and OWHA.

KMHA will not host a hockey school at the start of this season but will instead offer Development sessions during the season which will run from approximately October to March. Space will be limited in all age groups so please continue to monitor the website for more information and to sign up for this exciting new program.

The KMHA Executive will continue to work with the Municipality of Kincardine to ensure the health and safety of our members will in our facilities and to ensure compliance with established rules and regulations. Screening, mask use and social distance measures will still be required at this time, and we ask that all those in our Kinuck family continue to be respectful and abide by all posted rules and regulations, both here in the Municipality of Kincardine as well as abroad. Any blatant disregard or abuse of Municipal employees, players, spectators, officials or otherwise will not be tolerated.

We are optimistically planning for a full return to hockey for the upcoming season and are in close communication with all our governing bodies to ensure our information remains current. Please continue to monitor the KMHA webpage and social media to ensure all our members are aware of any changes as well as scheduled events.
