COVID Vaccination Requirement Update

Fellow Kinucks,

     As of today, we have received all the revised Vaccine requirement documents from the Municipality of Kincardine, OMHA and OWHA. These governing documents form a basis for how our 2021-2022 season will progress moving forward. Please note that any more restrictive requirements listed on the OMHA and OWHA documents may supersede anything listed by the Municipality of Kincardine.

     As it applies to KMHA, effective September 22, 2021, proof of COVID-19 vaccination and proof of identification will apply to in the following circumstances with limited exceptions for anyone wishing to entire a Municipality of Kincardine Facility: 
  • Parents or guardians participating in parent & children lessons, spectating at their child’s program, or completing drop off or pick up of their children from a program 
  • Spectators 12 years of age and older, attending sporting events
For those registered in OMHA (boys/mixed programming)
  • All Affected Persons are required to be Fully Vaccinated (i.e.: including the 14-day period after receiving their completed dose) by October 31, 2021 or earlier. All Affected Persons must present to their Association designate, as applicable, evidence satisfactory to the OMHA demonstrating that they have received the completed series of an Accepted COVID-19 Vaccine
  • This policy applies to the following Affected Persons 
    • Players born in 2009 or earlier 
    • Team Officials (Coaches, Trainers and Managers, etc.) 
    • Game Officials (referees, linespersons, timekeepers, etc.) 
    • Volunteers 
    • Instructors (third parties engaged by Associations or Teams to provide specialized instruction (e.g., power skating, goaltending coaching) 
For those registered in OWHA (Girls)
  • Patrons under 18 years of age who are entering the indoor premises of a facility used for sports and recreational fitness activities solely for the purpose of actively participating in an organized sport do not require proof of vaccination
  • OWHA strongly encourages every eligible person to get vaccinated and help stop the spread of COVID-19

Proof of Vaccination


  • Between September 22 and October 22, 2021, in addition to proof of identity, a patron must show a paper or digital version of the PDF receipt.
  • After October 22, 2021, in addition to proof of identity, a patron may present a paper or digital version of the PDF receipt or a paper or digital version of the enhanced vaccine certificate with QR code to gain access to designated settings.
